The members of Brookline Fire Company responded to a house fire at 134 Myrtle Avenue in the Chatham Village section of Haverford Township.
Upon the arrival of Chief 35, he reported heavy smoke showing and ordered Ladder 35 to go in service with a hand line. The crew of Ladder 35 discovered fire in a 2nd floor bedroom and contained it to the room of origin. Engine 56 arrived and threw ground ladders and stood by as the RIT. Engine 34 arrived and secured a water supply to Ladder 35.
The homeowner was transported via MICU 108 to a local medical center for treatment of unknown injuries.
