Beginning 100 years ago President Calvin Coolidge began a full week of fire prevention activities due to nearly 15,000 fire deaths in 1924 and the need for increased awareness of fire safety. Each year is highlighted by a theme in which information is highlighted on throughout the week. This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home”.

Please join us at the fire house Friday night between 630-8pm for our annual open house!

Meanwhile, members are spending the week visiting schools in the area spending time with students discussing all aspects of fire safety.
