With a serious winter storm at our doorsteps, we’re asking for everyone’s help as you begin cleaning up.
Please take a few extra minutes to clear out your local fire hydrant. In an emergency, those few minutes can make all the difference.
👉 Ideally, clear:
• A path from the street to the hydrant
• A 3-foot area around the hydrant
Following the last storm, we responded to two fires where access to hydrants was difficult due to snow coverage. Quick access to water is critical for us to protect lives and property.
If you’re already out shoveling, please consider helping with the hydrant near your home.
