| Just before 11am Darby Fire Co. # 1 Station 4 requested the response following a hydraulic reservoir leak from a cement truck. Fluids leaked over the course of a few miles but caused a large spill at Main St and Macdade Blvd. Foam and Spill 35 assisted Squad 4 with clearing the intersection and returned to the township.
Also assisting was Delaware County Department of Emergency Services Hazmat Team
Later in the afternoon a box truck leaked Diesel Fuel in the area of Brookline Blvd and Darby Rd. Crews found the beginning point of the spill and with the help of Haverford PD found the truck causing the spill a few blocks away. All hazards were mitigated before the company cleared the incident. |
