Gary came to Havertown from New York State in 2000. Shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Gary wanted to give back in some fashion and joined the fire company.

From the start, Gary was an invaluable asset to Brookline Fire Company. He showed concern for others and would always be there to support the members and their families. He was an empathetic, understanding person who was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether it be the annual BBQ fundraiser or the former pancake breakfast, he was always present and guided the crew in the right direction.

Gary was the longtime crew representative and liaison to the Board of Directors. Additionally, thanks to his education at Yale, he was the editor and chairperson of the former Brookline mailing newsletter. Gary, also served as the crew representative to the fire company scholarship committee.

During our 100th Anniversary in 2014, Gary and his father, engineered and built a large replica Brookline logo which continues to stand in our building.

Lastly, but most importantly, Gary was a friend to many of the members of a Brookline Fire Company. He was someone who was there for you through thick and thin, someone you could trust and rely on. Not only was he a source of support and understanding, but an all around good guy that we were lucky to have as a member of the fire company. He will be forever cherished and missed by those who worked along side him.

Arrangements are pending and once received they will be communicated via our social media pages.
