Initial reports were a grill on fire on the back deck extending into the home. Ladder 38 (Oakmont) arrived on scene and stretched an attack line to begin extinguishment as Engine 56 (Manoa) secured a supply line. Foam 35 arrived and went in service on the second floor finding numerous pockets of fire and began extinguishment along with crews from Oakmont and Manoa.

A second alarm was transmitted by command due to extension on all three floors of the residence, and for relief of initial crews. All five township companies operated along with crews from Stations 53 (Broomall), and Montgomery County 23 (Bryn Mawr) and 25 (Ardmore).

Medic 108 (Narberth EMS) provided EMS standby and firefighter rehab on scene.
