Crews arrived to find the front porch of a single family dwelling well involved with extension into the residence. As crews from 56 began fire suppression the crew from Ladder 35 (8 members) performed ventilation and interior searches along with laddering the building.
On the working fire dispatch Engine 35 responded along with Ladder 38 who went to the roof to perform vertical ventilation. A hand line was pulled off of Ladder 35 for vapor dispersion due to damages to the gas meter.
The fire was placed under control by the 2nd 10 minute mark. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2 hours performing overhaul and assisting with the beginning stages of the investigation.
