Crews took a hands-on approach, going over the equipment carried on the apparatus and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures for foam-related incidents. Drivers spent additional time operating the foam pump — a system that requires significantly more steps and precision than a standard water pump.
Brookline is proud to be home to the only Foam Pumper of its kind in Delaware County. Foam 35 responds whenever requested, alongside Spill 35, to handle incidents requiring specialized foam operations. Although designated as Foam 35, the apparatus remains fully capable of functioning as a standard Engine at structural fires — providing versatility and strength to our response capabilities.
